2. Scratch Programming Pre-test (10 min)
When done, you make work on paint/animations for a few minutes...
3. The Scratch Environment (10 min)
1. Look at the environment. What do you notice?
2. Call out your thoughts.
3. Recap what people noticed.
4. Scratch Challenge 1 (20 min)Part A:
Challenge 1 - Glide Around the Screen
Make the Cat glide around the edge of the screen using just the :glide block and turn block
Challenge Work Rules/Guidelines:
1. You may work on your desktop or chromebook
2. You may work where you want, but I need to be able to see your screen.
3. You may work alone or with a partner
4. You may only go to the Scratch Create Screen
5. If you fail, try again!
6. Repeat Guideline 5 as often as necessary
7. Be creative
8. Experiment
9. If you complete the challenge either try to do it in fewer steps or expand it
Part B:
Share your work, fix/improve if necessary.

4. Window AnimationBreak A Window Animation
Discuss:
1. Backup frame -The concept is you save a clean version of the window, then you can copy/paste from the frame to cover up a mistake and retry.
2. Save - undo movement plan - you might move an object, like a basketball, over a two colored object like a window and you won't be able to move it again without destroying the window, so you move it, save it, undo the movement and then move it to the next location.
